Cuban Rumba workshop with Gissel Ortiz on Saturday, 6 December 2025

Immerse yourself in Cuban culture with an exceptional workshop led by Gissel Ortiz, dancer at the Conjunto Folklorico Nacional de Cuba and studied at the National School of Arts in Havana.

This unique workshop is a rare opportunity to discover and/or deepen your knowledge of Cuban Rumba in a friendly, rhythmic and warm atmosphere.

Programme for the day:

• 11:00am – 12:00pm: Physical preparation for dance
• 12:00pm – 1:00pm: Columbia (open to all)
• 1:00pm – 2:30pm: Friendly break and shared meal: bring your simple, tasty dishes to share.
• 2.30pm – 3.30pm: Rumba Guaguancó
• 3.30pm – 4.30pm: Salsa con Rumba
• It will be a day filled with joy, music and passion for Cuba.

Musicians are also invited to participate, whether to play, dance, or simply enjoy the atmosphere.
