Internal Rules of the Danse-Salsa School
These rules govern the operating conditions of the Danse-salsa.lu School. They define the mutual commitments between the school, the students, and their representatives, to ensure a respectful, safe environment compliant with the laws in force in Luxembourg.
Article 1 – Registration and Payment
- Terms
Registration becomes effective upon receipt of the completed form and the first payment.
Payment can be made:- In one installment: full amount upon registration;
- In two installments: 50% at registration, 50% within 31 days.
- Payment = Acceptance
Payment of registration fees constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these internal rules. - Late Payment
Any delay may result in suspension of classes without refund.
The school reserves the right to refuse future registrations in case of unpaid fees.
Article 2 – Attendance and Commitment
- Attendance
Students must attend regularly. No reduction or compensation will be granted in case of absence, except in duly justified cases of force majeure. - Late Arrivals
Repeated tardiness disrupts the classes and may justify temporary or permanent exclusion.
Article 3 – Dress Code, Behavior and Respect
- Appropriate Dress
- Students must wear clean, comfortable, and dance-appropriate clothing. Shoes must be clean, and jewelry or objects that could cause injury must be removed.
- Wearing dance-appropriate shoes is important. High-heeled stilettos are discouraged for safety reasons and floor preservation. It is also possible to dance barefoot or in socks if recommended by the course instructor.
- General Behavior
Each student must adopt a respectful attitude towards:- teachers (permanent or guest),
- musicians and external contributors,
- other students,
- school staff,
- equipment and premises.
- Behavior Outside the School
Any act or statement that damages the honor, dignity, or reputation of the school, its teachers (permanent or guest), musicians, or contributors—whether on social networks or in any other public or private context—may result in sanctions up to permanent exclusion without refund. - Health Condition
The school assumes each student is fit to attend the courses they have registered for. No medical certificate is required unless specifically recommended by the teacher or in case of known conditions requiring special arrangements.
Article 4 – Social Networks and Digital Groups
- Optional Use
Use of platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, or others is not mandatory.
Only the official website danse-salsa.lu constitutes an official communication channel. - Discretionary Management
The school reserves the right to create, modify, or delete any digital group or channel.
It may add, exclude, or remove any person without justification, notice, or obligation to explain.
Article 5 – Use of Images (Photos and Videos)
- Images (photos or videos) may be taken during school activities.
They may be used for communication or promotional purposes (website, social media, posters, etc.) in a non-commercial and non-nominative context. - Acceptance of the rules constitutes implicit authorization.
Anyone may withdraw consent at any time by written request to: ecole@danse-salsa.lu.
Article 6 – Personal Data (GDPR)
- The data collected is strictly necessary for registration, communication, and administrative management.
- It is securely stored for a maximum of 5 years after the last registration.
- No commercial transfer is made.
- Everyone has the right to access, rectify, delete, or oppose their data.
- Complaints can be made to the CNPD: cnpd.lu.
Article 7 – Insurance and Liability
- The school is covered by liability insurance.
- Each student is encouraged to take out personal accident insurance.
- The school declines all responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
Article 8 – Shows and Performances
- Participation in performances requires the teacher's approval.
- Additional rehearsals may be required.
- Unjustified absences may lead to exclusion from the event.
Article 9 – Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
- These rules are governed by Luxembourg law.
- Any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Luxembourg City.
Article 10 – Modification of the Rules
- These rules may be modified at any time by the school.
- The current version is available on danse-salsa.lu.
